Elia Castillo grew up in Nuevo Laredo, México and Laredo, Texas. After high school, she spent a year studying the French language in Lausanne, Switzerland. Her university studies were completed at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Monterrey, México where she earned a degree in Business Administration. In 1990, her career path turned to television and radio production. After only a short time working as voice talent she became host for a nationally televised program called Nuestra Familia, which aired on the Univision network for several years. She has worked as producer, associate producer, translator, and talent on a free-lance basis for various local, regional, and national clients including The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, the National Latino Children’s Institute, Kinetic Concepts, Inc., Paragon Cable, Red Lobster, Texaco, McDonald’s, Videos Luz Y Alegria (Uruguay), Vodka Finlandia (South America) and many other manufacturers, retail organizations, medical and educational institutions. |
